Kylie Jenner’s half-hour E! docuseries, Life of Kylie, premiered on Sunday, and based on a number of Twitter reactions, the show didn’t exactly deliver anything different than what’s already been hinted about on her social media accounts. However, there were a few head-scratching takeaways from the first two episodes that aired.
She Suffers From Lamborghini Guilt
While most of us struggle with paying rent every month, Jenner is concerned about not driving her Lamborghini enough. She says, “I try to force myself to take the Lambo.” Can you say rich people problems?
Has First-Time Prom Problems
Despite attending the Met Gala twice (and taking a group selfie that rivaled Ellen DeGeneres’ famous Oscar selfie), Jenner has never gone to prom, and the first episode is all about making that happen. Her best friend, Jordyn Woods, comes to the rescue and sets her up with a stranger’s son, who is bullied at school and doesn’t have a date to his prom. (The details on how Woods got the mom’s number remain a mystery.) Jenner agrees to go to prom with Sacramento-based Albert because as she says, “I have a soft spot for the outcast. I was kind of an outcast. I still feel like an outcast in different ways now because I can’t relate to a lot of people.”
The two end up going to prom together, but of course, not without overcoming some hurdles like figuring out how to get to Sacramento on time (Jenner prefers flying private because commercial flights stress her out).
And Struggles With Insta Relevance…
At one point, Jenner says, “In order to stay relevant, I have to post on Instagram.” Yet, while at the beach with Woods, she tells her bestie, “I just feel like this fame thing is gonna come to an end sooner than we think. I’m getting the bug again. I just wanna run away. I just don’t know who I’m doing it for,” she says. “I don’t want my picture taken, I don’t want people to see what outfit I’m wearing.”
